Sunday at 8!

It’s Part 2 of our deep dive on Alberta’s coal problem with biologist and scientist Lorne Fitch and we ask the big questions!

Can coal mining or even exploratory drilling be safe in Alberta?

Have the ever been?

See you at 8!

The UCP continue to short change public education while supporting private and charter schools.
Look Alberta - individual choice deteriorates public education and dummies down the education everyone receives. We are stronger together.

We are happy the RCMP is investigating the #CorruptCare scandal. These allegations of bloated contracts are incredibly serious.

A great thread outlining why we still need a public inquiry to get real answers in the #CorruptCare scandal. #ableg
The UCPayToPlay scandal now involves six different kinds of investigation:

1) AHS internal (goes to Smith)
2) Auditor General (to Leg)
3) UCP third party (to Smith)
4) Mentzelopoulos lawsuit (court)
5) Ethics Commissioner (to Leg)
6) RCMP

A full public inquiry would go even further. #ableg

Hmm, where have we heard this before?
Usually when we apologize for something, we learn
from our actions. Seems like the Premier didn't learn
from her callous behaviour. Offering medicine unfit for
Albertans to people fighting for their lives is shameful.

An angry response from Public Safety Minister Mike Ellis to my question about a report from The Tyee this week.

It showed one of his first appointees to Edmonton’s police commission was “a business associate of the multimillionaire at the nexus of the so-called CorruptCare scandal.” #abpoli

PS: enjoy that big “tax break” the UCP conned you all with yesterday. That extra $10 every paycheque is sure to take the sting out of skyrocketing utilities, insurance premium increases, and big jumps in your property taxes!

We’re so blessed to have the UCP taking care of us all. #ableg

The irony of the UCP refusing to pay the property taxes owed to the City of Edmonton on provincial government buildings but being perfectly fine with Calgarians seeing increased property taxes to fund private schools is not lost on me.

My understanding is this medication still hasn’t been approved for use in Canada. Mentzelopoulos spells that out in her Statement of Claim.

Is the Premier hoping to offload an unapproved children’s med to Ukraine so she can write off her bad financial decision as a “donation”? 😳 #ableg
When you’re in deep, donate to charity.
Alberta eyes sending children’s pain medication to Ukraine, unsure who would cover costs.
AHS takes over procurement duties while MHCare sits on money paid for same.
Insane.

A public inquiry would also be *public* in every sense of the term.

Transparent and in the interests of Albertans.

We need a public inquiry.

A full public inquiry under Alberta’s Public Inquiries Act would have broader scope, independence, and transparency than these existing investigations.

Just a reminder…

The initial shipment was sent to hospitals because it lacked the safety requirements to be on public shelves.

But it’s cool to ship to a war ravaged country?

This isn’t the PR win they think it is…
