Google Pixel phones are tweaking certain emoji designs to match iPhone in the latest Android 16 Beta

Good news? This bridges the gap and makes emoji easier to recognize for switchers. The bad news? Like the death of blobs, it takes away some expression and charm

Gemini is finally coming to Google TV, but most users still have to wait.

Google says devices other than TCL's new $3,000 TV will get Gemini "later this year," and confirmed to @9to5Google that Android 14 is required (for now)

My review of the Pixel 10 Pro XL is up on
@9to5google

- Tensor G5 runs way cooler ❄️
- Cameras are good, a bit disappointing 📸
- Battery life is a little underwhelming 🔋
- Qi2 brings me nothing but joy 🙌
- The best AI features are the ones you don't have to think about ✨

Pixel 10 event!

A lot of thoughts on the event itself, but the phones are the main focus. I *love* the vibrant blues this year (RIP Pro) and Google really did a great job refining this design. Excited to move into the Pixel 10 Pro XL soon

Also Qi2!

Stay tuned to @9to5google.com !

"Qi2 25W" is coming to "major Android smartphones," and it's pretty obvious Google is first in line 👀

- Google contributed to Qi 2.2 standard
- Rumors of "Pixelsnap" accessories, leaks mention "Qi2" by name

My hype levels just went way up!

I've gotten quite tired of AI being in everything, whether it's useful or not. In many cases it's invasive, replaces a simpler thing that worked fine, or can't be turned off – or all of the above.

Google Photos just proved there's a better way

Google Photos is a rare example of adding AI features with compromise and care
Google Photos has always been built on AI, but its new Gemini infusion just proved you can still care about the user while adding AI.

Google's email about Gemini is not "concerning."

They're literally just making Gemini more flexible as an assistant when you have "Activity" logs turned off. And you still have full control.

9to5google.com/2025/06/25/g...
No, Gemini is not making a 'concerning' privacy change to read your texts – it's actually getting better
An email Google sent out to Gemini users is being misunderstood, and greatly misconstrued. Here is what’s actually happening.

This is BEYOND screwed up
So the situation with Caleb Denison leaving Digital Trends, and his new YT channel being nuked apparently BY Digital Trends is... very weird, right?

Nothing compared the Phone (3a)'s camera to the iPhone this week, and the video portion pretty obviously shows the Phone (3a) looking much better.

That's because the iPhone was in ultrawide mode.

This happens just after the presenters say settings were changed to "make it fair"

New: Eufy seems to have scrapped its Find My Device trackers for Android.

After delaying them by 6 months last year, Eufy has now removed references to the launch, implying the products are (at least for now) likely dead.
