Odd scenario right now for Cal WBB. The bears have been a little sloppy to start offensively, they only have 24 points late in the first half . . . and also they’re tripling up Wake Forest

In the first three playoff games, NFL teams have scored 87 combined points in quarters 1 through 3, and 87 combined points in the 4th quarter alone.

"Come to Cal: We'll pay you enough NIL so that you can get a care if you want, but your income taxes fund a wonderful transit system so you can get to the city without the headache of needing a car anyway!"
They should put out "your tax dollars fund multiple local and state programs to get rid of mosquitoes so you'll barely ever experience them"

This kind of stuff needs to be elevated just as much as the horror stuff. Good to get a reminder that these people are incompetent losers. They're losing battles now, and they'll lose the war in the end.

Just found out two things:
1. this playoff game is on Prime Video and not network TV]
2. I no longer care enough about the NFL to figure out how to watch that, let alone pay for it.

1. This is a critical commitment because tackle has been Cal's biggest positional weakness for basically a decade
2. This is a critical commitment because . . .
Cal Adds More Size at Offensive Tackle With the Commitment of Mississippi State's Jimothy Lewis
Cal adds another big body blocking for Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele.

I demand that Cal put out a graphic that reads "STATE INCOME TAX USED TO SUPPORT REDISTRIBUTIVE EFFORTS THAT PROVIDE BETTER QUALITY OF LIVING TO THE MARGINALIZED AND NEEDY BECAUSE WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY"
Ah yes the Transfer Portal has got schools talking about income taxes now.

UCF first and Houston responded in a quote.

Wow maybe it’s Cal’s time next

Actually, punting while down 4 touchdowns in the 4th quarter and then getting that punt blocked means that it is illegal for you to do a "we're so tough we're the baddest guys around" pregame speech ever again.
If Oregon doesn't release a youtube video of Dan Lanning's pre-game speech from this game they're cowards who can never be taken seriously again

Can we fire Spavital and Wilcox all over again? Once wasn’t enough
Currently thinking about how Jake Spavital and Justin Wilcox spent half a season starting a converted WR and another failed QB over Fernando Mendoza

Cal one win away from a directly transitive win over the national champ . . . or Cal’s current head coach is a national champ. . . or Cal’s former QB will be a national champ

Cal WBB’s ability to play good teams close and lose anyway is getting comical at this point
Hey Cal WBB currently has a lead over a top 25 team on the road in the second half . . . . . . .
Kind of amazing how every Cal WBB game against power competition has played out identically

Did I miss some news today?

I often say that college football is a game of colossal errors, and the team the wins is the one who fucks up least. And, well, I guess Montana State fucked up less than Illinois State

So which is funnier and/or sadder: Fernando getting ruined by the Jets, or Fernando getting ruined by the Raiders?

This one was fun to write, because it was basically an excuse to re-live what Dai Dai Ames did yesterday over and over again: writeforcalifornia.com/p/the-calnot...
The Cal/Notre Dame refs weren't wrong about the final play
Is this really just an excuse to talk more about what Dai Dai Ames just did? Also yes!

I just don’t understand this level of cowardice.
Asked if he supports Congress using its power of the purse to hold Trump accountable for Venezuela, Chuck Schumer replies: "Let's first get the facts."

Many in College Football will tell you as a fan, your impact on the field is minimal unless you can give huge sums to the NIL fund or coach salaries.

This is false.

It is your job as a fan to track down and care for ancient relics/lift evil curses that afflict your team.
