You may have heard me say "One County" and wondered what that means.

It's more than a slogan. It's a timeless truth from our past. And it's how we build a future that's far more affordable, inclusive and modern.

Let me explain.

Wishing all who celebrate a joyous night of Diwali filled with peace, prosperity, and renewal for you and your loved ones.

Our strength comes from our diversity, and the vibrant Indian and South Asian communities across our county make us stronger, more connected, and more compassionate.
Happy Diwali!

As the Festival of Lights is upon us, we celebrate the triumph of light over darkness and hope over despair — values that speak to the heart of Baltimore County.
By working together, we can be a true force multiplier for their efforts — ensuring a county where no child goes to bed hungry.

For ten years, they’ve been a lifeline, providing food, clothing, hygiene products and dignity.

Grateful to Laurie Taylor-Mitchell, Vicki Almond, and everyone who helps make this mission possible.
Across Baltimore County, 74% of BCPS students live in poverty and 30% of county homes experience food insecurity. But the Student Support Network is changing that story — one student, one family, one act of compassion at a time.
When I served on the Baltimore County School Board, I saw firsthand how hunger affects learning — and how much brighter a child’s future becomes when they have the basics in life.
No child's fate should be decided by their family's income. And no child should worry about where their next meal will come from.
Our social compact depends on it, and so does our vision for a Baltimore County that’s affordable, inclusive, and modern for everyone.

Across the nation, people are rising and raising their voices to defend a timeless truth: in America, we have no kings. Power flows from the people, not to them. It’s up to each of us to lead with conviction — to respect the Constitution, uphold the rule of law, and never place ourselves above it.
Needed this reminder—that in these dark times, Maryland shows us there is a better way. Because, as the Governor said, in Maryland, we lead, we fight, we win—and we leave no one behind.
What a big night it was in Baltimore County on Thursday!

@govwesmoore.bsky.social celebrated his 47th birthday right here at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Halethorpe!
They're not alone. The fight for Randallstown continues, and we'll win because of groups like LRCC.

And I was so honored to discuss this vision with LRCC and hear from folks who also believe it's time for Randallstown. LRCC has been leading this fight for years, reflected in the voices of its president Shirley Supik, her husband Jeff, and the organization's leadership team.
A #1 priority for me is delivering the long-overdue revitalization on Liberty Road, including a town center where we can live, work, play and learn together.
We ended last week in Randallstown and we began this week here too.

Coming off our Randallstown town hall on Friday night, we kept the momentum going by joining the Liberty Road Community Council to continue the fight for Liberty Road's future.
(And yes — Sarah David and Katrina Leonard made the photo cut. Guess the photographer liked my ideas better than my head!)

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month — a time to stand with survivors and confront the trauma that too often persists behind closed doors.

If you or someone you know needs help, reach out to TurnAround: turnaroundinc.org
Last week, I joined TurnAround, Inc.'s Dundalk event to celebrate healing, resilience, and the opening of the Jacobi Center in Eastern Baltimore County. Ending domestic violence takes more than awareness — it takes compassion, commitment, and community.
Senator Jackson’s words say it all. Jacobi’s life continues to inspire so much good — a reminder to see the unseen, honor every person’s dignity, and ensure safety for all. The @thebaltimorebanner.com article is posted at the end of the thread.
“Though his time with us was tragically short, Jacobi’s memory remains a beacon of strength.” — Senator Carl Jackson
Every knock matters. Every story matters. This is how we build a stronger, more connected Baltimore County — One County.

Be part of the movement this weekend — working together for a Baltimore County that’s affordable, inclusive, and modern for everyone.
