It may seem weird given Clase’s salary but I know a wealthy guy who owns a dozen of apartments and also earns a lot of money and he always goes to a store which is 30 minutes from his home because beer there is two cents cheaper.

New Arsenal is inevitable. Old Arsenal too.

I must say I am proud of my 10yo son. He is not obsessed at all with technology and gadgets. And he often tells me he envies my childhood when he could just go outside and play with friends instead of sitting home in front of tv.

I can put up with boring Arsenal if they keep winning those games

I don't know why companies like Salesforce are pushing so hard for AI when they cannot make something simple and useful work. Maybe that's how Salesforce determines their strategy? "Hey, the probability of success is 192000%, so it should be good, right?!"

We were waiting out the rain together with Tim Roth near Piccadilly. My stupid brain could not remember any movie with him except Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead

I'm still not particularly happy about passkeys and figured I might want to share my thoughts on why. lucumr.pocoo.org/2025/9/2/pas...

Still get confused between `ln -s` and `ln` daily.

I’ve been asked to share my opinion about you twice in the last two weeks. No
Prize in sight though 😉 @upcloud.com at least appreciate the loyalty!

I generally despise Microsoft and whatever comes out of it but I think PowerShell is a cool software. Works on MacOS and Linux too.

Me: I will go to bed early today because I am tired
Also me three hours later: fixing znc that suddenly stopped running on a cloud server.
Good thing, I was able to fix it!

The heat is killing me… or is it the result of updating to trixie, and I am accursed by bookworm?

Arsenal is kicking it off tomorrow and I am prepared for another season of high hopes and frustration somewhere in early December…

Updated to Debian 13 today. Besides a couple of external apps that I had to reinstall, everything went smoothly.

So this money will go to AI because AI can do it all? Or is it ‘to hell with it as long as we show some cost savings’? I wonder if in a couple of years companies will not be feverishly chasing whoever they can find on the market and probably overpaying as well.

Cybersecurity Spending Slows & Security Teams Shrink
Security budgets are lowest in healthcare, professional and business services, retail, and hospitality, but budget growth remained above 5% in financial services, insurance, and tech.

I am so tired of the AI bullshit. The only good thing from this is that I doubled my time in learning new things in the hope that I don’t become dumb and easily susceptible to manipulation and propaganda in the bright future that is ahead of us

I suggest to send Altman to space already not to prepare the ground for future graduates
For the love of god can we stop airing articles about "X tech bro says this is gonna happen in X years clearly just in service of a publicity stunt". No. It's not going to happen. Obviously. Why are we indulging this?

There are lots of ways to "do honeypots", and if you'd like to do a bit of what I do on a daily basis (though in a different way) def take a look at this project: lightscope.isi.edu

Clever idea! Decent-ish dashboards.

*Do not* use the blocklists. Lots of overlaps with our Benign lists.

Microsoft is like Salesforce, whatever they touch turns either to shit or to a whole bunch of shit
the day after Microsoft core AI team took over GitHub it started having issues www.githubstatus.com/incidents/9r... These folks claim (especially Bill Gates) 24x7 how AI is going to take over all jobs. They can't even run stable git hosting. lol.

Good that I have recently decided to ditch them. Not that I had a lot there but still
This is big. GitHub is no longer independent at Microsoft after CEO resignation: GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke has resigned, and now GitHub will be part of Microsoft’s core AI engineering team. Github is no longer independent company.
