Kids these days are so close to the meaning of life, the universe, and everything... if only they knew how to multiply those damn numbers together

'Harder mode' narrows it down considerably because I love sci-fi and horror-adjacent stuff, but there are still so many films that would fit for me.

But none quite like Hundreds of Beavers. I have seen it so many times, but I could never get tired of this movie.

I feel the same reluctance to outright label myself with neurodivergence, not because those frameworks don't explain me or help me understand or manage myself, but because I don't want to take up space when others are affected by it more strongly. Why am I like this? Sigh.

For the last 10 years I've had recurring hip pain that flares up intermittently for weeks at a time, making it agonizing to sleep, walk, sit, or stand. And yet I hesitate to call it 'chronic pain' because it goes away sometimes and it feels like that label belongs to people who have it worse?

Good evening all. For this year's Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR), TFR remembers three transfeminine authors who passed away this year: Miss Major Griffin-Gracy (78), Valerie Amelia Thompson (38), and Michelle Duff (85) 🖤

We also remember 367+ victims of anti-trans violence and suicide 🕯️

Thank you for saying that! It was a really hard book to write, and I never really thought I'd reach anyone with a novel that's almost too twisty to talk about without spoiling anything. I'm so glad the book reached you and brought you joy!

Twelve hours remain in this bundle! If you've been sleeping on this, or if you're like me and you often wait until it's down to the wire to grab a sale, there's not much time left to snag 32 powerful trans books.

Thanks for the interest in, boosts & purchases of this trans books bundle! (I've had to increase the goal multiple times 😄).

These books, some also including queer normative and or LGBTQIA+ joy, are available as this set for 4 more days.

I'd like to kick off Trans Awareness Month with 32 stories of Trans People Taking On The World, by mainly trans authors

Your heroes may tackle; love, friendship, magic &war, self discovery, trauma & healing, demons (literal or metaphorical 😉) & or the world itself!

And on top of that, the moment you realize that *you* were being junctioned across time to help Laguna/Kiros/Ward? That blew my mind. Subtly setting up the 'time compression' theme as early as disc 1.

People often make fun of the orphanage plot twist, but the cost of using GFs is one of my favorite takes on a magic system in the entire series. You've made a hard bargain with forces you barely comprehend, without even worrying about the cost.

I got that comment on my book as well, and it had me glowing for weeks. We need more egg-cracking literature!

Check it out, my book is a part of this incredible bundle!

A lot of these books were already on my TBR list, and Trans Awareness Month is as good a time as any for a trans book marathon. I'll be reading as many of these as I can this month. Who's joining me?

Yep, trans is an adjective, woman is the noun! It's grammatically improper for the same reason we typically don't smash together "tallwoman," "oldwoman," or "gayman" into one word.

And as you say, the one-word version has recently become a subtle linguistic dogwhistle spread by right wing groups.

hit me with your recommendations for excellent trans adult fiction by trans authors? Stag Dance and RCBG have been rattling around in my head since I read them and I and want to read more trans stories that aren't memoir or aimed at young readers!

Just another way this platform is slowly turning into that other one. Call it enXittification.

Anyway! 🌈🚀 How odd, the bots are among us! Love that for you. Reminds me of that one queer SFF book, "H̵̖̑ĕ̵̬l̸̙͗p̶͘͜!̴͈͌ ̸̬͠M̵̻̾y̸̻͂ ̶͈̄m̷̥͐i̷͂͜n̶͙̓d̷̘̄ ̷̖͒ḥ̵͠ă̷̭s̷̋͜ ̷̖̒b̶̩̐e̶̮̍e̵̳͌n̴̡̂ ̸̭̓u̷̥̇p̸̲͐l̴̠̾o̶͓̾a̴̗̎ď̴͈è̸̦d̵͍̀ ̶͙̇i̵͓͐n̴̙̿t̴͈̍o̸̻̊ ̶̡͘a̴̺͊n̴͙̈́ ̸̪̅Ả̵͉Ī̸͙ ̸̘̈́c̴͓̈́h̵̿͜a̴͚̍t̵͈̿b̴̡̌ò̴̫ẗ̷̖́!̷̡̽" on Kindle! Have you ever been assimilated?? 😯😜

But the first few posts aren't enough anymore.
I look at every account I follow back, but if a bunch of people you follow are already following, it's easier to drop one's guard and assume the crowd knows best. Either the wisdom of the crowd has failed, or I'm in a really weird dead internet bubble.

Sometimes they're really obvious. I saw this one today. See how it smashes certain keywords and hashtags in different configurations, always with that engagement-driving question, trying to pull people in.
October 30, 2025 at 5:06 AM
A few observations, aside from the obvious fact that no human would engage with spam like that. Bots often drop the "I" at the start of their sentences to try to sound casual, they use emoji sequences to get onto particular feeds, and they always end with a question to try boosting engagement.
October 30, 2025 at 5:06 AM
Not trying to dogpile any particular accounts. The issue is widespread.

These accounts often appear reasonable at a precursory glance. You might not catch them until they reply to some nonsensical hashtag storm, making sense of nothing, then pivoting to sell their two ebooks.
October 30, 2025 at 5:06 AM
So many spammy AI comments in here these days, especially in small niches like queer Booksky. I just caught one from an account I followed, which now makes it personal.

Many users are following accounts like this. You probably do too. Short thread I guess 🧵
