Bundle made it halfway to goal in one day! If you haven't already checked it out, this is a great way to support 32 trans authors during Trans Awareness Month and get some phenomenal books in the process.

Check it out, my book is a part of this incredible bundle!

A lot of these books were already on my TBR list, and Trans Awareness Month is as good a time as any for a trans book marathon. I'll be reading as many of these as I can this month. Who's joining me?
I'd like to kick off Trans Awareness Month with 32 stories of Trans People Taking On The World, by mainly trans authors

Your heroes may tackle; love, friendship, magic &war, self discovery, trauma & healing, demons (literal or metaphorical 😉) & or the world itself!

hit me with your recommendations for excellent trans adult fiction by trans authors? Stag Dance and RCBG have been rattling around in my head since I read them and I and want to read more trans stories that aren't memoir or aimed at young readers!

So many spammy AI comments in here these days, especially in small niches like queer Booksky. I just caught one from an account I followed, which now makes it personal.

Many users are following accounts like this. You probably do too. Short thread I guess 🧵

Drafting on my next novel is going slow but steady! It's out of my genre comfort zone but I'm really excited about this one. For now, my WIP has the extremely tentative working title "Farm Fresh Eggs." I'm certain that will change whenever I think of something more on theme or genre-appropriate.

does anyone have any queer/trans and/or sapphic book recommendations that aren’t romances? I need more for my lists 💖 the more diverse the better!!

sapphic isn’t necessary but it does get bonus points for being sapphic

The medication stockpile bill is the bill I had pegged this year as the most important kind of bill to pass given federal threats, with a short time window to make it happen. Washington passed the same bill earlier this year.

It's so shameful for Newsom to veto this bill.
1. Yesterday, the press gave Gavin Newsom favorable coverage for signing pro-LGBTQ+ bills.

Little noticed, however, was that he vetoed one of the most important ones: a bill allowing trans people 12 month HRT stockpiles, protecting them from federal threats.

Gavin Newsom Vetoes Important HRT Stockpiling Bill For Trans Californians, Signs Other Pro-LGBTQ+ Bills
The bill would have allowed transgender people to maintain a safe supply of medication in the era of government crackdowns on care.

Now that my book's off Kindle Unlimited, I can distribute the ebook more widely!

Starting with itch. I know they're wrapped up in the payment processor censorship thing, but it's still a hub of trans digital literature that means a lot to me. This book belongs there.

Can I share an ambition with you all?

Trans lit is what sparked my love for reading and writing again to a level I hadn't enjoyed for years. It was a beautiful part of my transition.

My ambition? That we grow. We break new ground. We leave a mark. That we find the magic in the telling.

Does Kindle Unlimited start pushing books hard a week before the KDP Select period lapses? It could be a coincidence, but it also feels like an algorithmic ploy to get authors to re-enroll and keep ebooks Amazon exclusive for 90 more days.

Our Simulated Selves hit #7 in LGBTQ+ sci-fi 😮

I got lucky with a TikTok and sold 7 copies in the past 4 days. That's a surprisingly small amount of sales to reach the top 10, but I'm overwhelmed and grateful.

I wonder how many sales it'd take to hit first place for a day? Watch out, Chuck Tingle!

Trying to explain logic paradoxes to my six year old. He claimed “it’s Opposite Day” so I explained why that statement must always be false. After minutes trying to get him to see my reasoning, he said “well see… I have a sword.”

I was too stunned to respond. This is why the world is the way it is.

Something they don't tell you about your first published book is that it will completely tank your ability to finish the second, because you are too busy constantly refreshing your store pages in case someone left a new review in the last six minutes (there never is)

My passport came back correct with the gender marker changed! My previous passport expired and was misplaced in a move (probably buried in a box somewhere) so I reported it lost as well. I applied, expedited, on 7/9. Thanks to @erininthemorning.com for all her reporting on the whole passport case.
July 21, 2025 at 7:28 PM
I filed the application for an (expedited) passport renewal along with the gender marker change on July 9. Today I got the notification that the application was 'approved' and is in the mail... that doesn't necessarily mean it's going to come back with an "F" on it, but I'm hopeful.

I know I should probably stick with sci-fi for my follow up novel, but my next novel outline has begun to coaslesce into something a lot less high-tech and a lot more "Twin Peaks" 👀
