Waldschutz und internationale Klimafinanzierung wurden vorangetrieben, bleiben aber hinter Erwartungen zurück.
Die Beschlüsse werden Klimakrise und am meisten vom Klimawandel bedrohten Ländern in keinster Weise gerecht. Das ist nicht der Notfallmodus, der eine adäquate Antwort auf die Krise wäre.

Die Klimakonferenz #COP30 hat die Minimalerwartungen erfüllt, sie hat mit einer Einigung ein Zeichen für Kooperation gesetzt in einer ansonsten auseinanderdriftenden Welt.

This seemingly obvious step was blocked by the fossil fuel industry and oil-producing countries, which are vehemently opposed to climate protection as it threatens their business model.

A roadmap for phasing out fossil fuels was discussed prominently, but did not make it into the final declaration. The COP president will develop roadmaps on fossil fuel phase out and halting deforestation separately.

The #COP30 agreed on a package! The climate conference met minimum expectations, it reached an agreement at all, setting an example for cooperation in an otherwise divided world.

Mit drei kurzfristigen Maßnahmen könnten wir das Pariser Abkommen am Leben halten und die Erhitzung auf 1,7 Grad begrenzen. Wir müssten bis 2035:
- Erneuerbare verdreifachen
- die Energieeffizienz verdoppeln
- Methanemissionen reduzieren
Alles übrigens schon bei der COP28 vereinbart worden.

The longer we wait, the larger the "targets gap": from 2030 to 2035, the gap between climate targets and the pathways to 1.5°C is projected to grow up to two billion tonnes, up from 26-29 GtCO2e in 2030, to 26-31 GtCO2e by 2035.
