I recently voted in a song contest. The song I voted won the competition. The composer told that AI was used in planning the lyrics. If I knew that I wouldn't have voted the song.
i would rather not make anything ever again than use generative ai for writing a first draft or generating ideas or whatever. i would rather die basically

the term "content creator" served it's purpose very well. conditioning people into seeing everyone as anyone and everything as anything, mostly among the ruling class who found it most convenient for their pockets. in that sense, generating slop is the final result of content creation
the enthusiasm for generative AI would not have been possible without prior decades of capitalist conditioning to view works of art as products, rather than acts of culture and shared human life
I think the fundamental gap here is that non-creative people think that creative people make things for the end product, when in fact it’s the act of creation and not the end point that makes it worthwhile.

Local museum near mom's has a great Nuuttipukki, the original Finnish horned Christmas monster, who brings gifts to children. Nuuttipukki tradition was still alive in the early 20th century. Because of Nuuttipukki, Santa Claus is still called Joulupukki, Christmas (Male) Goat.

The saddest thing of not living in my childhood area is that I start to forget how to speak in my native dialect. I have to make a conscious effort to keep it up and even then I make mistakes and accent comes out wrong. I think I have to start to speak in the dialect at home by myself 💪
