NEW producer approved restoration has me excited and nervous!

That blue-tinted 4K that's been distributed everywhere the past few years is, to me, really not great and I've preferred the more natural (director approved) Mondo Vision blu-ray.

For the extras alone this is very exciting.

Update for quiltsky: here’s the skull quilt with the double border (3/4 inch black border, 1/4 inch multicolor). I will hand stitch the binding to the back this week. I can’t wait to show you the back!

Yeah they’re nice to have on in the background or they can feel more of-the-season with those commercial bumpers.
I still haven’t gone out of my way to watch the censored The Thing on disc though 👀

I had to look up what a belfry actually is! I’m not an idiot!!

The edits and commercial breaks in the AMC airings can feel nostalgic, like some of the Halloween sequels for me because that's how I first saw them.
The Shout Factory blu-ray of The Thing even includes the TV version as a special feature! I imagine some people clapping when "bull stuff" comes up.

Some orange fish that could pass as angry goldfish but they are piranhas surround this dead person to chew off the little bit of remaining flesh. there is a sign laying next to the corpse, supposedly removed from the ground above and tossed into the water, which reads, "Caution! Piranhas! No skinny dipping!" How many have died because of this vandalism? At least one.
