I’m going to coin a law - call it Maugham’s First Law - and it is that nothing Wes Streeting ever says turns out to be true. 🧵

Bought tickets for My Chemical Romance at Wembley and will be cultivating my fringe for the next six months.

Can someone pass the black hairdye and eyeliner?

I was the bravest girl at the dentist and have earned every drop of these (with straw to avoid dribbling issues)

I don’t know how to explain to the “they knew the terms and conditions” brigade that when we apply to medical school we don’t get a free trip in the TARDIS to check out the working terms & conditions +/- deadly pandemics in 5-10 years time.

Wes is lying about drs support for these strikes.

We as a group know exactly how much shop floor support there is, as does the union, as to legally strike required a ballot of members.

As Wes said, “The power to stop these strikes is in the government’s hands.”

A pay dispute requires a pay deal.

I don't really understand how @thekingsfund.bsky.social thinks this is acceptable.

Headline states the exact opposite of the evidence.
GP registrars are not GPs.
This is misleading, unethical & panders to the lies pushed by @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social

⬇️ GPs

Patients want doctors.

Threads is the most depressing place on the internet and frankly I’d support just burning it down.

It should be illegal to have to get out of bed when it’s cold.

Only snuggles and warm snoozes please.

FAO the “functioned perfectly fine until now, don’t know what benefit a diagnosis will bring” brigade, including (unfortunately) a not insignificant amount of HCPs:

Over on X we have MPs posting deepfake AI videos of their opponents at the dispatch box.

People will point out this breaks parliamentary code, which is true, but more than that it’s a proper gutter licking move from an MP who tried to position themselves as leader of the opposition. A

Setting out on a weekend of errands and family commitments, which involve me driving to and thoroughly entering almost all the shit towns in the North West.

If you're a shit town in the North West of England, please have your papers ready to present and I will penetrate you forthwith.

My nan’s gone into a hospice today after waiting for a bed.

I’m so grateful she’s managed to get into a place where she will be well looked after but fuck me it’s about time we funded palliative care properly in this country.

Bought a car, slightly over budget but to be fair, it has a display that emerges from the dashboard like a popped back foreskin, which makes me laugh endlessly.
My car’s been written off and I have to buy a new (second hand) one.

I am once again being asked to make adult decisions I am utterly unprepared for.

If someone wants to tell me what to buy for budget up to 12/13k please feel free, thanks.

Kick my tyres please.

Is there any good way to recycle old electronics? Like 12 year old laptops and very slow old tablets?

Is it just in the electronics bin at the tip or is there something else where they can be used for parts and stuff?

Went to buy this book on Amazon with a view to trying to sort my life out somewhat, and oh, ok, righteo then.

To think, I sometimes feel like an imposter and doubt my diagnosis.
