I did this painting a few months after my mother died. I would have these overwhelming moments, somehow forgetting she was gone, only to be reminded. Almost 5 years later and it still happens.

The weekend starts here!

Some of the craziest skies I've ever seen - two years ago over Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon.

#Iceland

Mad stormy purpley/grey skies over a glacial lagoon which has some black water at the front and turquoise water beyond, and has a few turquoise icebergs floating. In the distance you can see some dark mountains and the glacier itself is just visible. There is an ara of brightness on the horizon beneath the storm clouds.

Thank you! This is at the Katla glacier and I went in 2023. They did say it is melting at a rapid rate when I went because of climate change 😢 the hole in the center is way bigger now, but it’s still there!

I tried to photograph #Iceland in a different way from other photographers. Not overly HD, as organic as possible, and without a drone (I don’t own one so that part was easy). ⛰️🇮🇸 How did I do?
