“Nobody gives you power. Real power is something you take!” - My Daddy.
It's one thing for a has-been like Carville to talk about this stuff. Many have said similar. It happens that the Dems had a guy suggesting similar in the last two elections. Did well, but the party united against him. Others before him were total also-rans. He wants Newsom to run this, though.
Anybody who spends the kind of money Carville is talking about, the public will all but let them outlaw chewing gum. But that doesn't matter. Once again this is being set up falsely. You should go easy on him; he hasn't won an election in 35 years. Write it on the blackboard a thousand times -

Had Bobby raised him, so many things would be different. Including the quality of his poetry.
Over many interviews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Michael Scherer about how he plans to remake America’s public-health system. Can he lead the scientific establishment he’s spent much of his life crusading against?

In that day we had a phrase, out of date but still applicable: A Tough Broad.
I would not have liked to deal with Joan Crawford in politics.
Quoting, to not hijack your JFK thread.

You were good friends with Pepsi Pres. Don Kendall, who was a major backer. These were also the years Joan Crawford was chair of the board of directors. What was that like? Did you deal with her a lot, and was she as intense in business as portrayed?

I have often said I suspect the first female president will be a Republican. Not sure she will be of the Greene/Palin stripe; I pictured a gal more like the elder Bush in policy. Possibly also a former spook. Someone who could be a throwback and a step forward. If not Liz Cheney, someone like her.
Greene is lying low for ‘28.

I think casino greeter is well within his wheelhouse.
Is he dealing blackjack on the Cape Girardeau-Memphis riverboat?
Whoever dresses him included.

Are you sure he didn't just sign off the document with a "See You Next Thursday?"
November 21, 2025 at 5:20 PM
That could definitely work.
Mamdani is going to bring him that snowglobe that plays "Memories" from CATS and we're going to get government grocery stores nationwide

Brace for impact. Gonna be the longest, weirdest lame duck term in the nation's history. A horse in the cabinet... that sort of thing.
As a serving Pentagon officer with top secret clearance said to us this afternoon, "Things happen."

It will be public knowledge in time for the weekend papers. Everything the government has, barring the names of the girls.
We knew it was Felt. There were two or three people with that information and Gray was ours. With Epstein hundreds of people or more have seen these files or substantial parts of them.
This is what I want to know. @dicknixon.bsky.social alluded to T and allies “getting cute” at this stage, and I wonder what the trigger point will be for someone leaking who otherwise wouldn’t dare.

All over Los Angeles, dealers are getting twice daily texts from Aaron Sorkin. That will go up once he actually starts writing.

I seem to remember something happening around the last time he left Washington...
I've frequently said this at various points, and the response from some is "His back isn't against the wall. He is the president. He always comes out on top, and he knows it."

Yes. He is the president until he's not. But his fatal flaw is he really does care what people think, and he panics.
This is a very dangerous moment for the country and the world. A cornered rat will do anything to escape.

Which one? "Ah did not have sex with that real estate tycoon." <thumb gestures>
Make the son of a bitch deny it.

At least they were consenting adults.
This is maybe the first time I’ve felt he’s in actual trouble. I never thought Mueller would get him, nor did I expect Biden to go for the throat. I don’t know how it ends here, and I’m not saying he can’t get out of it. But it’s the worst trouble he’s been in.

Ask yourself who was in charge of the DOJ when Epstein was in his final act? What did he ultimately do about Trump? Nothing. If he could have gone to the court, he would have been a bigger swing vote than Kennedy. Which was the point, I'm sure, but we are all worse for knowing that man's name.
In my opinion, one of the most egregious things Obama ever did was bring Merrick Garland to national prominence. Garland is the living embodiment of the third-way, do-nothing attempts to appease the GOP. Curse Biden, too, for digging him up and making him AG.

That sumbitch...
99% of Republicans understand nothing about intraleft politics. they’re still saying shit like “you won’t be so happy when BILL CLINTON is implicated will you?”

Now they need tech that reads it for them slowly, and omitting the big words.
Well, it's a little clearer now why billionaires are so invested in technology that produces better written emails.

Yes, but how do you get the flat-earthers and mouth-breathers on board? There are more of them than ever now.
They are sweating on the mat. But the closer you are to 30, the the closer you are to being down for the count.
Dumb question sir: Why wait for 33%? Considering the steady downhill slide you'd think their pants would be on fire now.

In the same way a kid dodges a red rubber ball to the face in phys. ed.
Karoline Leavitt just dodged answering a question directly about whether Trump ever spent "hours" at Jeffrey Epstein's house with a victim.
November 12, 2025 at 7:38 PM
Press secretaries are like Kleenex: thin, disposable, and used to mop up unpleasant messes.
Q: Given you answers about transparency, why are WH officials meeting with Boebert in an effort to get her to not sign the Epstein files petition?

LEAVITT: Doesn't it show transparency that members of the Trump administration are willing to brief members of Congress?
November 12, 2025 at 7:37 PM
Exactly. That's what he had Hunt and Liddy for.
In President Nixon’s White House, conversations about non-military or non-national security issues did not typically take place in the Situation Room.
November 12, 2025 at 7:31 PM
What in the hell was Boebert doing in the Situation Room?
Q: "Why are White House officials…meeting with Rep. Boebert in an effort to try to get her to not sign this petition calling for the release of the [Epstein] files?"

Leavitt: "I'm not going to detail conversations that took place in the situation room."
November 12, 2025 at 7:28 PM
What did I tell you? Watch: he's going to send the National Guard into Manhattan or some damn thing. He will do anything to change the topic.
Look, the entire shutdown was a massive misdirection, anyway. You are already hearing people talk about the Epstein stuff again. Yet here come the holidays in a couple of weeks. Trump's just going to keep doing sleight of hand to keep the media distracted.
November 12, 2025 at 7:26 PM
Maybe we can talk him into giving up his dukedom.
In a trial it would be enough to force a deal.
