Piranha (1978, dir. Joe Dante)

very obviously a Jaws ripoff but it's more fun than you'd expect considering you have Joe Dante at the helm, he adds a lot of self aware humor and interesting ideas to keep this from being a slog
it's not great but it's better than I expected

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020, Insomniac Games)

it's alright
not worth the asking price of 50 bucks but it's a very solid standalone expansion, Miles feels substantially different from Peter and has a really fun kit, bland writing, great boss fights

the first hour is plodding slow and amateurish at points, which is strange considering Sato's been doing this for 30 years, but the final 40 minutes is the exact bleakness and depravity expected of him
