hey remember when netflix poached a bunch of writers from their union jobs with the promise of establishing an editorial division where they'd have tons of freedom and then shuttered it less than six months later? just thinking about that again for no real reason

Okay people are talking about how bad the writing is, but a reporter on their first day of reporting can determine that the WWE Hall of Fame doesn't have a physical building without having to call the WWE to ask
I can’t believe the WWE Hall of Fame thing is real. This is like a @davecolon.bsky.social bit.

there’s a fun bit where junior staff at orgs I work with often send emails that are too long but painstakingly written

managers use very tight bulleted lists, with a clear BLUF and bolded action items

and senior execs messages are like, “who status report??? where are we? can someone send EoB?”
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

An Illuminating Conversation With The Man Who Was Willem Dafoe’s Stunt Penis | Defector

ohhh ethan klein's sudden pivot to calling anti-zionism "racism" makes sense now. these freaks really wanna co-opt phrases with actual meaning because at the end of the day, it's about their feelings being hurt and there's not a word for that that will get reasonable people on their side
This is one of the most incredible things I’ve ever read.

It is, apparently 🙄, “anti Zionist racism” to call someone a “‘Zionist’ without their consent.”

Also, to call them a “colonizer” or “genocide supporter.”

I guess they really have completely worn out ‘antisemitism.’ 🤷🏻‍♂️

An underrated part of our misinformation problem: It's not just that we're awash in deliberate propaganda from ideologues and hacks. Huge, huge numbers of people are primarily getting their political news from morons. They're not deliberately lying; they just pull stuff out of their ass on stream.
There are nearly 40,000 people watching Asmongold stream about the Epstein files vote right now.

Wild reading chatters ask him questions like how long it will take to see all the files... and he pulls "6 months" out of nowhere... just bonkers stuff.

those of us laid off from Teen Vogue were really fortunate to complete our fundraising goal — the laid-off staffers at VIBE deserve the same support, as Black media outlets and journalists continue to be targeted and discriminated against in “austerity” measures
It was announced on October 16, 2025 that VIBE was "joining forces" with Rolling Stone. As a result, the majority of VIBE employees were laid off. If you have the means to give, this team could use the support! www.gofundme.com/f/support-vi...
