The money used to put on seven days of Lombardo’s special session could’ve provided relief for all these issues, but instead, we’re paying for the Legislature to debate handing over $1.8 billion to the film industry. #NVLeg

While $12M per year for Pre-K is great, this is not new revenue. It is a mechanism to capture funds that otherwise would accrue to the County. NSEA supports Pre-K and if you want more Pre-K funding, just provide it directly. You don't need a corporate giveaway.

After the #NVLeg passed a $2 per pupil increase, NSEA locals negotiated contracts across the state. Most locals asked for modest increases to help keep pace with the cost of living (up over 3%). Districts responded there was no way for them to offer COLAs with no increases from the state.
