For the new org we picked up, and for Georgia joining the fundraiser, here’s some especially emblematic pictures of Clark and Minnie.

Do you want more of these? Guess what: donate more, add more states, and you can see more of these wonderful babies!

I have good news and bad news.

Good news: we hit our goal! Man, y'all really, *really* wanted me to read a poem on air, huh?

Bad news: that that's only if we can answer all 66 questions—so I'll keep pushing!

How much further can we go in 23 hours? Let's find out:

My favorite part of parent teacher conferences is discovering how many of them don’t bother to ask their kid basic follow-up questions.

I got accused of not responding to a student’s message some time ago. Got home. Sat down. Looked at my inbox. The response is there, clear as day.

The "AI" and "automation" offered by some companies and platforms is just a front for digital sweatshops in poor countries.
The well-known complaints about AI are that it rips content without consent and needs tons of electricity.
But this article points out another issue: AI relies on badly paid data labellers from poor countries working in terrible conditions.

AI is a multi-billion dollar industry. It’s underpinned by an invisible and exploited workforce
Data labellers are the lifeblood of the AI industry. Yet they are often paid very low wages, work in unsafe environments and lack basic workplace protections.

Aside from our projects, Louisa and I have something else in common: we're both southpaws.

So we made a few exclusive designs for this boutique shop: only notebooks (left-handed, thanks to uploading the image upside down), stickers and magnets. Check them out! 👍

We're donating $2 a question
Stuck at parent-teacher conferences tonight, but can nonetheless reveal:

- current amount: $3,153 (¡!)
- 32 organizations (three more Clark pics!)
- in 20 states and territories (+Oregon, +DC) (two more Minnie pics!)

Under $200 left to make me read a poem on stream! Can we make it happen tonight?

Of course I didn’t forget! One more state and one more organization means one more picture of each of my beautiful pets.

And remember—if we hit that $3,317 number, I’ll randomly select a donor and read a poem of their choice on stream!

What are you waiting for?

With two days left, *if* Louisa and I manage to get every single question right, and with my matching the first $500, we've beaten my old record of raising $3,317.

But I want to feed people even more than that, and we're not perfect. So help us! Donate! Boost away!

Elon Musk donated $277 million to Trump so he could steal the federal government’s data, dismantle the nation’s infrastructure, and stop foreign aid from going to nonwhite people. It’s a quid pro quo breathtaking in scope, corruption, and damage, & completely unprecedented in American history.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It remains insane to me that DOGE was treated at the time as an impressive shock and awe accomplishment - “you can’t deny he’s getting stuff done!” - and then instantly memory holed by the press once if became clear it was a total failure by every possible standard including Musk’s own
Difficult to overstate how profound a failure DOGE was. Spending in FY2025 was not only than in FY2024 – but higher than it was projected to be when Trump first took office.*

The little bit of spending DOGE cut has already killed hundreds of thousands and will eventually lead to millions of deaths.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

If you look carefully, they market this fact.

They hype "personalized" learning, by which they mean "algorithmically generated per student"

So if I'm given a word problem I can't talk to my classmates about it, bc they don't have the same one
