Members of Congress: stop posting online and APPEAR, PHYSICALLY on the steps of the Capitol to decry this unconstitutional violation of domestic & international law. SHOW THE PEOPLE the level of danger we are facing as a country.

We need more Ta-Nehisi Coates, less Tony Dokoupil (a lot less).
Support independent media.
NEW from me:

Currently on tap for Tony Dokoupil on his first day as CBS Evening News anchor -- taking a private plane to Miami to so he can go jet skiing with DJ Khaled and play soccer with David Beckham.

Take that, elites!

@sbg1.bsky.social perfectly summed up 2025: “If ever there were a year whose end could not come soon enough, this was it. I’d like to dance on its grave and drink buckets of champagne in honor of its demise. Happy New Year. Finally, there is something to celebrate.” www.newyorker.com/news/letter-...

This.
The briefing with Hegseth and Rubio only reaffirmed what we already knew: the Trump Administration is in clear violation of domestic and international law—and our own Constitution.

I keep saying this but no one is connecting the dots. The war is to satisfy legal preconditions for mass removal *domestically* of Latinos (i.e., suddenly a lot of people are going to be “Venezuelan” for purposes of removal). This is 100% Stephen Miller…oil claim is to make grandpa go along
There is no national security logic that would impel the US to want to do regime change in Venezuela. It's simply not that important. I'm not even sure wag the dog is the right metaphor for what's happening here. Seems like an insane misallocation of US national security assets and attention.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

A new study published in JAMA suggests that risk-based breast cancer screening could be a more effective approach than annual mammograms, but some experts fear it would be hard to do in practice.

According to a new study, members of Congressional leadership perform 47% better in stock market trades than their rank-and-file peers, thanks to access to nonpublic information.

Today would be a great day to ban ALL elected officials from trading stock, don't you think?
