"If you tax the rich, they'll just leave."

Massachusetts' tax on millionaires has fixed bridges, funded buses, hired teachers, and made community college and school meals free.

The state has 39% more millionaires than they did before.

Tax the rich.

“.. A Washington Post analysis of multiple video feeds of the meeting Tuesday showed that during nine separate instances, Trump’s eyes were closed for extended periods or he appeared to struggle to keep them open, amounting cumulatively to nearly six minutes.”

One more thing about the Black Friday sales data—total money spent went up, but people bought fewer items. So the growth was driven by inflation, and nearly all of it was financed.

Not great.

Even Fox doesn't like the idea of pardoning drug traffickers while bombing boats to protect us from drugs.
FOX: Does it undercut the administration's messaging when Republicans are defending strikes on narcoterrorists and then Trump pardons a convicted drug trafficker?

LEAVITT: I don't think so

Reporters need to stop buying his bull on this. The questions they ask of him need to contain the facts before the question. Otherwise you're just setting him up to lie.
Trump pardoned a billionaire fraudster shortly after he reported to prison—this guy stole from regular hardworking people, and his punishment was a few days in jail? If you're rich and well-connected, Trump’s got your back. Everyone else gets to pound sand.

Precisely.
The news has entirely failed to grasp the unprecedented scope of the ICE and DHS budgets. Nothing like it in modern history. A galaxy of public/private surveillance and caging institutions for $100,000,000,000s unleashed on a public that will be forever changed. www.brennancenter.org/our-work/res...

Inch by inch, there's some sanity slowly beginning to creep back to DC.
Rep. Mike Turner on the double strike to comply with Hegseth's orders: "If that occurred, that would be very serious and I agree that would be an illegal act…This is completely outside of anything that has been discussed with Congress and there is an ongoing investigation."

Factchecking the essential point (per‑capita comparison): Correct.
The US has a homicide rate several times higher than most other rich countries, so it is entirely plausible that ~330M Americans generate as many murders as 2.3B people in mostly low‑crime countries.
