As others have said, the greatest transfer of wealth in US history will not be from the Boomers to their children but from them to the US healthcare system. The US is designed to make people insolvent and to keep them poor once they're there.
Your reminder that fame is not wealth and America is broken.

Mainstream people know him as the cabbie from SCROOGED, but he’s a prolific musician and entertainer who has been at the heart of music since the late ‘70s.

Someone has to own stuff. Like there has to be someone who is a majority stake in a property. So when it’s the same guy who happens to own like $300billion worth of shit, that makes him no different than anyone else that owns anything. It’s meaningless, it’s meritless.

Finding out what it’s like to be one of the rest of us
A whining Rudy Giuliani asked a judge for special treatment today, saying “I have no car, no credit card, no cash, everything I have is tied up, they have put stop orders on my business accounts, and I can’t pay my bills.”

I’m sorry, but boo f*cking hoo.

Centrists and moderates love to delude themselves and put out the idea that they’re morally superior beings “above the rhetoric and infighting”, and I just can’t empathize with that incredibly inflated level of self righteousness.

You’re either with us or against us. Most issues come down to a “yes” or a “no” nowadays, there’s no 50/50 on Palestine, Vaccinations, the Department of Education, religion in schools, or masking. At this point, moderate means “the only thing I care about are my interests” to me.

And the truth is that the real adults in the rooms are the radicals trying to mitigate or reverse the massive and pressing dangers of the climate crisis and capitalism. The “rational” moderates are children wearing their daddy’s shoes and suits that are 10 sizes too big.
A big part of the problem with the Election Takes is the infantalization of idealism and the adultification of moderation.
