A cozy main menu background for #ScreenshotSaturday. There’s still plenty to refine, but the slide projector already takes it straight back to the ’70s. I’m planning to fill the photo tray with snapshots from older versions of the game, so a touch of history in there too.

Some devs thrive on schedules, others need flexibility.
Try “focus windows” -- times when you’re most likely to succeed at game dev: after coffee, late at night, or post-exercise.
Build around when you actually show up.

I've never felt like a master at creating art, music or code. I've only felt okay at best. One reason why game development is so important to me is that it's one of the few mediums that allows me to bundle all of what I can do into a package that may become bigger than the sum of its parts.

Don't gamble on unproven ideas. Follow blueprints that have already worked for others. The downside is minimal because you’re not pioneering anything risky. The upside is massive because proven models scale.
