This is great. The absurdity of this moment captured. Make it go viral.

A simple chart that shows the relative infection risk at different CO2 levels. You already mask which drastically lowers your risk while the air is filtered, but even still you can see that your risk doubles from 1% to 2% just going from 800 ppm to 1000ppm CO2.
A chart showing airborne infection risk estimates based on CO2 levels.

Keeping your CO2 levels down will really help. A simple way to pull fresh air into your space is to crack a window and have your bath fan on a timer / occupancy switch so that whenever the room is used the fan runs for 15 minutes or so and 750 cuft of air is pulled into the house.
ocnj.bsky.social
So an hour is pretty conservative / safe and if you open some windows all the better.

Knowing your CO2 levels would add some more wiggle room.
ocnj.bsky.social
I'm always nervous about mine so glad you came up with the same numbers. :)
ocnj.bsky.social
Ok, they would add another 50 - 80 CFM when you get it working.

But for now we have 44820 cuft of air we want to exchange / filter and we can filter 778 cuft per minute.

44820 cuft / 778 cuft / minute (cufts cancel each other) and we get 57.60 minutes to filter the air 6 times.
ocnj.bsky.social
OK. So we 830 sqft x 9" ceiling = 7470 cuft.

To be super safe we want to compleely replace all of that 6 times. 7470 x 6 = 44,820 cuft of air we have to exchange.

We won't count any open windows which will make our number even more conservative.

Do you have a bathroom exhaust fan?
ocnj.bsky.social
So 143 + 143 + 240 + 252 =778 CUFT/min
ocnj.bsky.social
If that bathroom door is a standard 80" door I'd say you have 9' ceilings and your entrance door is taller than standard.
ocnj.bsky.social
If you know the make and model of your 3 purifiers I'll track down the CADR numbers for you if available.
ocnj.bsky.social
OK. Sorry I didn't piece that together. Total footage is all we need as we're just trying to get a conservative ballpark number.

So let's take your total sqft and multiply by your ceiling height. 8 foot ceilings are standard, some are 9' or 10'.

Ex: 1000 sqft x 8' gives you 8000 cubic feet.
ocnj.bsky.social
Was it advertised as a certain square footage ever? Like 900 sqft? Or 1200 sqft?

If not, no worries. If you have a tape measure you can measure the width and length of each room. If no tape measure you can pace it off with your feet toe to heel.
