Hoopla is an AMAZING asset provided by your local library. If you haven’t checked it out yet, this is your moment.
hoopla is amazing. it also isn’t cheap. but the best argument we librarians can make to the purse string holders for keeping it is that people actually use it, so please use it! 📚 📺
The positive outcome of this story is that in frantically googling around trying to figure out what happened and how I could at least see the end of the episode, I discovered that the show is available at my local library and actually can be streamed thence via Hoopla 🎉

The Best of What I Read in 2025
It may be a little early, but based on my waning attention span I don’t expect to finish books that will unseat these favorites. What a happy accident it will be if it turns out differently. …

The solstice is still three weeks off; the calendar's "new year" further away still. But this is the beginning of winter's true presence, and the last light of year's end is already shifting, dancing, breathing that new world into being.

This book is a great reminder of many things, most importantly:
1. Systems are all constructs. So we can conceive and construct them differently.
2. Interrogate your systems: whom do they serve? Why is that important. How can we do better?
3. Intersectionality is always key.

I love a list of fresh authors 🥰
📚Hey lovely people, since we're coming into the silly season, I thought it might be an idea to share my go-to cosy/comedy fantasy authors for a good, sanity-inducing laugh. If you're looking for an awesome read, you can't go wrong with the following:

I’m thinking of setting a long term reading goal: a year with Baldwin. Reading Baldwin: a Love Story and Baldwin’s works featured inside. 🤔🧐🤨 #BookSky
