I unfortunately have to keep up on current events for work so sadly I have not been able to also ignore the implosion of our country. On edge on whether or not he’s going to just fuck all federal environmental funds with the shutdown.

I’ve had to drive a lot for work lately so I’ve turned off like all notifications for apps that aren’t Texts or DMs (too distracting) and so I’m just so much less likely to click on any social media app because of it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve been so disconnected from anything happening in pop culture or online that I didn’t see that Rolling Ray passed away the beginning of last month. That broke my heart.

People get so hung up on doing things the “right way” that they talk themselves into thinking generative ai is anything other than lazy stolen slop. Just fucking draw, no one cares how you learn, and the people that do are annoying people that you just ignore. Those people exist in everything!

“Draw the Proper Way” and the contempt in that phrase kinda tells me more than anything else. As someone who taught themself how to draw like 3 years ago (at the big age of 34), there is no “proper way”! Just figure it out with whatever way works for you! There are countless resources online.

Honestly this is an excuse.

I know plenty of people who are not “naturally gifted” who do art.

It requires effort to learn. I feel you did not approach it correctly or think things happen over night.

Also hard work and skill is not “naturally gifted” as that undermines their efforts to draw.
