Reporters need to go further. When a govmnt official lies, they need to call it out. They literally need to say, “No, you’re lying.” You can’t accept the lies as a legitimate place to have the conversation. Engaging the way they are doing is legitimatizing the government’s lies and propaganda.

I don’t think choosing where you’re going to spend your money constitutes cancel culture. It’s a reflection of your values. I for one wouldn’t step foot in the United States to spend a penny. You couldn’t pay me to go in to the United States to do anything. I’m not cancelling anything.
