First DC fast charging experience at this lovely stop on the NJ Turnpike.

The charger claimed up to 400 kW and seemed to work as it should and was reasonably priced.

Almost flawless, except somehow fast charging messed up the audio and required an infotainment reboot.

Just Polestar things.

They wanted 250 million for a HD in my district, which sure sounds like a lot but it’s not getting any cheaper.

Honestly, it a hard sell needed or not.

I have a NACS adapter but hope to never have to give money to a certain gentleman.

I’ve never actually level 3 charged, but plan to use the newly installed universal chargers on the NJ Turnpike tomorrow.

Kinda an aside after reading the article…….

I guess this will change as everyone switches to NACS but is the supercharger network really that much better for non-Tesla owners. Most of the superchargers around me are not open to non-teslas.

I think the problem is "E-Bike" basically means class III e-bikes and no normal person knows the difference anyway.

The bike rack outside my middle school is filled with ONLY class III e-bikes.

I think it would be easier to rebrand class I and II bikes at this point.

I was going to say I doubt anyone under 40 cares, but then I remembered my 10 year old daughter loves FM radio.

I get a stripper model, but some of these changes just feel like they are punishing the buyer for cheapening out.

I’m about a week away from forgoing all charging incentives and professional electricians and installing the charger myself.

Buying an EV is starting to feel like a mistake, not a huge mistake but a mistake.

The other thing I forgot: my cousin did everything himself. Fabrication, wiring, paint, etc. He's a diesel mechanic by day.

My dad, this cousin, and his next-youngest brother (my cousins were Very Cool to me when I was little) are a big part of why I'm a car enthusiast today.

My cousin stopped by with his recently completed build. When a mostly intact 4-door & a rotted out coupe meet and love each other very much...

Up close of the front right corner of my cousin's '67 (I think) Chevy SS. The chrome is very shiny, and the tires are meaty and fresh. It's painted a dark reddish-bronze. Autumn sunlight shines on trees in the background.
