🚨 THE PELICANS WON A GAME AGAINST A TEAM WITH A WINNING RECORD 🚨
November 25, 2025 at 3:32 AM
Pelicans beat Bulls 143-130, snapping 9-game losing streak. A+ effort by bench, w/ 4 guys combining for 51 PTS. 141 is season high for points dating back to 153-124 win over Jazz on 1/23/24

Zion Williamson: 29 PTS, 13-16 FT
Saddiq Bey: 20 PTS, 14 REB
Trey Murphy: 20 PTS, 4 3s
Jose Alvarado: 16 PTS

We were just talking about how for once they’re good out of timeouts! Can we keep these Pels?
Feels James Borrego has absolutely nailed all timeouts tonight because any Chicago Bulls momentum has been halted at every break in the action to this point.

And on a night of firsts for New Orleans, the Pelicans have already eclipsed their season high for a game -- and there's more than half the fourth quarter to be played.
Pelicans lead Bulls 108-93 after three quarters (lead should be greater but Jose Alvarado committed cardinal sin foul). Still, New Orleans offense has been consistently potent as all season:

1st QTR: 37 PTS (season high)
2nd QTR: 37 PTS (tied season high)
3rd QTR: 34 PTS (season high)

Micah Peavy having an outstanding third quarter scoring 6 of his 10 points and nabbing 2 of his 4 steals. From breaking ahead of the pack for an easy transition bucket to staying in front of Colby White all the way up the court that led to a steal, he's always giving max effort.
November 25, 2025 at 2:48 AM
Derik Queen with successive buckets, pushing Pelicans lead back to 19 points, with a nice contest on a Colby White 3-point attempt sandwiched in between.

Following DQ's quick hook in the 2nd quarter, DeAndre Jordan immediately talked to the rook for several minutes. Can't help but think it helped.

Well said. These trio of Pelicans absolutely sparked the team to their 74-58 lead over the Bulls at halftime -- their highest point total in a first half this season for New Orleans.

Also: Is McGowens making a push for minutes ahead of Jordan Hawkins (once he returns)?
The Pelicans cannot lose a game where their bench has performed this well.

Salute to Yves, Jose and Bryce for their 1st half performances.

Pelicans lead Bulls 74-58 at halftime. Lead was as large as 22 points. Either way, strong overall effort.

Zion Williamson: 17 PTS (14 in 2nd QTR), 2 STL
Trey Murphy: 13 PTS, 2 3s
Bryce McGowens: 11 PTS, 2 3s
Yves Missi: 10 PTS, 10 REB (1st double-double of season)
Jose Alvarado: 8 PTS, 6 REB, 6 AST

Pelicans lead Bulls 37-30 through one. That's the most points Nola has scored in a 1st quarter this season.

Jose Alvarado has been the spark plug: 8 PTS, 2 3s & 6 assists. Meanwhile, Zion Williamson just doesn't feel right -- missed lay-in he normally makes, then nothing but air on another attempt.

Jordan Poole (left quad strain) has been cleared to resume on the court basketball activities, but Herb Jones will miss at least one week with a right calf strain.

Pelicans lose 115-98 to Hawks. New Orleans was competitive for about 1.5 QTRs, then Atlanta rode slew of Pels' turnovers, Porzingis found nice groove & Nola was abysmal at converting in lane.

Derik Queen: 20 PTS, 9 REB
Trey Murphy: 19 PTS, 9 REB
Saddiq Bey: 18 PTS, 11 REB
Jeremiah Fears 11 PTS
November 23, 2025 at 2:25 AM
Pelicans trail Hawks 56-46 at halftime. Total struggle putting ball through rim. First quarter was simply buoyed by 8 makes from FT line. Hawks woke up due to NOP's turnovers (9 ATL FBPT in 2nd QTR)

Trey Murphy: 11 PTS, 7 REB
Saddiq Bey: 10 PTS, 4 REB
Derik Queen: 8 PTS, 3 REB
Jeremiah Fears: 5 PTS

Pelicans lead Hawks 25-21 after one. That's the second-fewest points New Orleans allowed an opponent after the first frame. (They allowed Mavericks to score 19 points in victory over Dallas on 11/5/25.)

Great game plan by James Borrego to dare Dyson Daniels to shoot by giving him ALL the air space.

Two hideous 3-point shooting performances in a row for Pelicans that may have cost them several wins.

- Made 7 of 34 3s (20.6%) against Nuggets a few nights ago
- Made 7 of 27 3s (25.9%) against Mavericks tonight -- missed final 14 3-point attempts, with last make coming at 9:30 mark of 2nd QTR!

Pelicans lose 118-115 to Mavericks. Two missed 3s for tie prior to final buzzer. Tough loss. Strong 1st half. A battle in 2nd but didn't close as cleanly as was required.

Trey Murphy: 25 PTS, 3 STL
Zion Williamson: 22 PTS, 3 STL
Jeremiah Fears: 21 PTS, 3 3s, 4 STL
Derik Queen: 20 PTS, 11 AST, 7 REB

Naji Marshall walked right through Jeremiah Fears, throwing a shoulder into him, and picks up a technical foul.

Thanks, Naji!?
