I'm Oliver, a queer and disabled artist/writer based in the UK. I love to paint with ethereal lighting and playing with lost edges.

Whilst my illnesses are too severe for work, I still take part in charity projects and mutual aid (see below) and happy to be invited!

I wanted to make a Marie Kim centric piece revolving around the phrase 'walking on eggshells' in regards of the abuse she has suffered.

Ugh, I didn't know about this one. Of course it has all my books. Not only is that money I could use, but every sale helps those of us hanging on in the midlist keep publishing at all. Love to see hundreds of downloads on series that people complain haven't continued with more books. Yeah guess why.

A little more info about this ๐Ÿ’™ As part of this situation I rest my stuff on my lap and on the desk to my side, not the full thing haha.

I absolutely don't expect tips, but I would appreciate them if you'd like to support my oil journey!
Just a little more info about the desk chair requirement too: to do art that can't be done in bed atm, what I do is sit in my arm chair and prop my legs up on the current desk chair. Unfortunately it's bulky and too big so not suitable for wheeling or moving around much, meaning if I need something I have to get up. Not very suitable! Meanwhile a reclining desk chair will mean I can wheel around better and keep my legs up with just the chair. It also means I can rest properly in the chair by leaning back to rest, so in theory I will be able to spend longer in the study rather than only manage my current sub hour per week due to my limited capacity to sit up. (And less so when my bone capacity is small, like what has happened this week and I had to drop oil painting plans today) I aim to buy the chair in the winter and tips will just help me purchase faster. So no pressure still, just wanted to provide more context to the access need! It's non urgent but will be massive for my quality of life. ๐Ÿ’™

Good morning, might be quiet for a couple of days. I've already had to face my biggest trigger again just weeks after the last time and need to recover. Very easy for this to put me in severe levels of pain when I have pain 24/7 in every part of my body anyway. And feel deeply ill.

I finished the sketching phase on my Christmas-ish piece, of two of my longest OCs Skia and Alex. I think the old piece was drawn in about 2017 or so. Quite the difference already!

โ—YCH- 2-3 days

the reason 101 dalmations looks like that is because disney incorporated xerography (ie early photocopying technology) into the animation process. rough pencils (by mostly male animators) were copied onto the cels so that disney could fire the (mostly female) inkers. remember that art can lie to you
