My favorite local restaurant paid for our brunch when my dude spilled the beans that is was my b-day. They didn’t have to do that but they said we were regulars & good people…best gift ever-absolute kindness. Again…local restaurant. Small biz. We made sure to leave a good tip but I felt the love 🥹

And I’m buying myself flowers this weekend dammit. White carnations. I survived this year. I didn’t want to be alive several weeks ago but I’m still here. I’m thankful for my life partner of 21 years and for my friends. I’m going to celebrate the hell out of all of that. I’m still here.
