It does, but Hegseth is claiming he misspoke. He issued a clarification that it will just be a joint training base (similar to how we do with Singapore and NATO nations) that’s fully under US control.

Not sure why he announced it as a literal Qatari air base, other than he’s a complete dunce.

I missed this news about Qatar building a base in Idaho. Glad I did cause it gave time for the story to be broken down. Here’s a brief on it.

Now with our outrage at this, imagine how many other countries felt when we decided to build bases on their soil.
