I had a fine time at Productized in Lisbon, speaking on a couple of leadership panels, giving a main stage talk, catching up with old friends and making some new ones.

Here’s a summary of my talk and what everyone else spoke about:

🌶️ Product Managers need to stop worrying about "being technical" and concentrate on doing their actual job well 🌶️

Are technical skills useless? No! Are they the whole job? Also no! You should be spending just as much time with users and business stakeholders as farting around with vibe coding.

I've used LLMs to assist with code and built full applications even, but one thing I can definitely say from experience is that I would never want an "autonomous coding agent" let loose on any of my codebases ever

It’s incredible how companies are threatening employees to use AI or else but then have no idea how or what employees are supposed to do with it.

🤯 We've got hundreds of stakeholder requests - how do we prioritise them? 🤯

The naive approach:

🧮 Diligently prioritise every individual item using RICE, ICE, Impact versus Effort, etc.
⬇️ Sort in score order and just start working from the top, you'll get through them eventually
