Argilenne incorporates her lighting aspected aether into fighting with her axe, it was an unconscious act at first but over time she learnt how to control it and use it enhanced her axe strikes by making them course with lightning. For me- Taro's Gunbreaker stance emulates a Garlean's because he trained with the Gunblade in the field. Because Marsak didn't have time to teach him basic stances, he fell back to what he already knew!
