The United States Elections Assistance Commission (EAC) is supposed to build trust & bring integrity to our nation's elections. Commissioner McCormick betrayed that mission. I will not stand for it. Oregonians and all Americans deserve better. It's time for her to step down. https://bit.ly/439MP69
"It’s un-American to spread lies that sow fear and paranoia in the heart of our democracy...She betrayed the trust of the people she was meant to serve. She must resign or be removed immediately." - Secretary Read https://bit.ly/439MP69

I attended the Government to Government summit in Coos Bay and heard that our state must do more to be a better partner with sovereign nations. Partnership begins with listening and showing up for Tribal communities, and I’m committed to continuing that work.
No American should go hungry because people in Washington D.C. are playing politics. I joined @tinakotek.bsky.social & leaders across Oregon in demanding that USDA to take action now to make sure 750,000+ Oregonians can put food on the table. bit.ly/3WrxcmH
Thank you @repdexteror.bsky.social for having me on your telephone townhall this week & thank you to the Oregonians who joined the conversation. Let's continue to stay engaged, stick together, and don't forget to VOTE- there's a special election on November 4th- have you filled out your ballot yet?
Portland is not a war zone, it's our home. While this administration continues to make a spectacle in an American city -- all to distract from their own failures, I want to remind you to stay focused and use your power: VOTE.
Oregonians -- get your votes in to help Lebanon High rebuild their grandstands! It's a quick and easy way to support an incredible community in our state. Tomorrow is the last day of the contest: www.t-mobile.com/brand/friday...
Lebanon High School needs your vote! The school is working hard to win the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights contest to get a new team grandstand and facilities. Vote once per day at https://www.t-mobile.com/brand/friday-night-5g-lights/h or get the QR code at the end of this video.
It’s a new season, #RipCity! Are you ready?

Shaedon’s got the start. New contracts are signed. Dame is back. We all have another reason to gather in Moda and around our TVs to share the joy of this team. It’s a great day to be a Blazer.
As we’re watching court battles over whether a president can send our own military into peaceful American cities, I know a lot of people are angry, frustrated, wondering what they can do. The answer is simple: VOTE. 🗽🗳️
In just one week, I'll be joining Congresswoman Dexter for her next Telephone Town Hall! 📞

Democracy isn't a spectator sport. On October 22, I’m hosting a telephone town hall with @oregonsos.bsky.social
Secretary Read, who’s leading the fight to protect voting rights in Oregon. I hope to see you there.

Thank you to Vancouver Avenue First Baptist Church for inviting me to join you in serving meals to Oregonians. It was a great reminder that resilient communities are built through everyday acts of service and care. Oregonians: how are you showing up for your friends and neighbors?
Last night at Pitch Latino Portland, Latino entrepreneurs took the stage to share their business's impact and vision. It was an honor to celebrate their innovation and proclaim October 09, 2025 as Latino Entrepreneurship Day! Investing in small businesses like these is investing in Oregon's future.
Decades of service, scholarship, and civic engagement come together at the Academy for Lifelong Learning in Corvallis. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have spoken with this inspiring group about Oregon's voting system last week, and for the role they play in strengthening our democracy.
Representative Hòa Nguyễn was a dedicated, passionate, and accomplished public servant. Oregon is a more just, compassionate place because of her leadership. Our hearts are with her family and her community today as we all mourn her loss.
Representative Hòa Nguyễn passed away this morning surrounded by loved ones after a courageous fight against cancer.

She asked that this chapter of her life be remembered through the work of making Oregon a just, equitable, and compassionate place. #orleg #orpol
It's time to send our National Guard troops home.

The Trump Admin took them away from their jobs & families for this pointless political stunt. Every moment this Admin fails to follow the law just raises the bill for hardworking American taxpayers.

Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek calls for National Guard troops to demobilize
Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek on Tuesday directed the roughly 200 members of Oregon National Guard troops who had been stationed at Camp Rilea, outside of Astoria, to demobilize and head home.

Cities are where government gets real, where the rubber meets the road, sometimes literally. That’s why I’m committed to being a true partner to our local leaders as we build a brighter future for Oregon together. Great to speak with the League of Oregon Cities last weekend!
Big thanks to the clerks in Morrow, Curry, & Klamath Counties for the warm welcome & great conversations last month. Their leadership drives Oregon's free & fair elections, protecting all citizens right to vote.

That marks 32 of 36 counties visited- Lake County, you're next!
National Voter Education Week is about your power as an American citizen: the power of your voice, your ballot, your choice. Make sure you are registered and have a plan to vote in the next election: there’s one on November 4, 2025. oregonvotes.gov/myvote
This is a win for the rule of law and our rights as Americans. Our city does not want or need a military invasion, and we will not give the President the spectacle he wants to use to distract from his own failures.
A judge on Saturday ordered the Trump administration to halt its mobilization of 200 Oregon National Guard troops to protect the ICE building in Portland and its officers amid nightly protests.

$10 million -- that's how much taxpayers could pay for this military deployment on American streets. We don't want or need this. Portland is a beautiful, peaceful city where people are just trying to live their lives, go to work, and raise their kids. https://bit.ly/3KASStW
Great to speak with Oregonians at the Salem City Club — I always leave rooms like this inspired by the care and passion people have for our state and our future. Thank you for having me!
Municipal recorders help preserve their communities' stories and keep local government running smoothly. I am grateful to the Oregon Association of Municipal Recorders (OAMR) for all they do, and for welcoming me to their conference.
This should chill every American to their core.

The President is abusing our military to take over communities and target American citizens.

This is wrong, and no matter where you stand on the political spectrum, stand with us to peacefully say: no troops on our streets.
