anyway I just think that
A moment immediately following Ed and Stede’s beach reunion smooch (resmoochion). Stede’s nose is scrunkly against Ed’s cheek. Both of their eyes are closed. Stede still seems frozen in the moment, like he’s holding onto it, committing it to memory on the spot.
