my son is five, same age as Liam Ramos. you don't need to have a child the same age to be fucking horrified by the violence we are doing (and HAVE BEEN doing) upon immigrant children in this nation. but that he keeps asking for his spidey backpack is the kind of detail that rips my heart in two.

it's morning in a glory hole au, when the vibe is baked. stede and a cursed ed get stuck in quicksand in a tiny apartment in 1976 paris. the raccoon is at the feeder again, which is so-so. swede and oluwande and zheng are there, meeting a new lover. the title is "boulevard of broken dreams".

This profile tells some of Powers story - born into slavery near Athens, GA, Harriet learned to sew as a child, a skill that became her livelihood after emancipation - and includes an image of the original quilt as well as the only known photograph of Powers from 1901.
