Yeah, fuck this guy.
The new Canada-Alberta MOU is a positive step for our energy future.

Meaningful investments in Pathways, clear measures to reduce emissions, and a stronger industrial carbon price give Albertans the certainty we need to move forward. /1

As today is American thanksgiving and Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a tradition there (wonderful film), I send out this GIF to all world leaders regarding the climate emergency. (especially Carney at this precise moment in time)

This whole MOU is based on lies. There's no such thing as "low emission" bitumen. CCUS does NOT work. Indigenous co-ownership IS NOT reconciliation. Doubling down on fossil fuels & AI data centres will NOT "lower costs." Both govts are putting corporations before the public interest. #CDNPoli #ABLeg

On a day where Carney is set to announce an MOU for a new oil pipeline, it's all the more important this country has a serious reckoning with the choices being made and how the world is changing. It's reckless, short sighted and completely ignorant to the shifting geopolitics we depend on.
The world is splitting between petro and electro states, and Canada risks being left in the dust
The most important takeaway from this year’s UN climate summit isn’t in the agreement — it’s that the world is splitting into fossil fuel and clean energy states, leaving Canada at a fork in the road ...

At COP30 Canada just got awarded the fossil of the day — first time since 2014 (the harper years). Clear sign of how Carney’s pro fossil fuel agenda and backsliding on climate policy is being noticed internationally.

Is it just me or is it fucking bananas to have <any> fossil fuel lobbyists at global climate conference?
🔥 A 12% jump in fossil fuel lobbyists at COP compared to last year.

📍 Belém is seeing the highest concentration since records began.

The industry causing the crisis shouldn’t shape climate solutions.

While the timing is probably related,it needs to be understood that Trump and his fellow fascists would absolutely be attacking Venezuela no matter what.

Treating the carnage that will inevitably result in an invasion of the country like a "distraction" is incredibly insulting.

50 years ago today, Nov. 10, 1975, the Edmund Fitzgerald sank beneath the waves of Lake Superior during a massive storm.
The sinking took the lives of all 29 men on the ship, and became immortalized in Gordon Lightfoot's song.
This is the story of this terrible tragedy.

But let’s be clear Mark Carney: aid cuts aren’t savings.
