ok so SC needles with the 27G needle is not actually any less painful than IM with 23G.
Both are extremely low pain.

It is just less intimidating to people, because of the shorter needle?

Look.
A lot of us have DID
I have been fascinated by people who experience a significant discontinuity after transition. The whole "egg" metaphor seems to imply this, and I see people wrestling with how to conceptualize their former self. I actually had such a concept all lined up and then found out I didn't have use for it.

Recommendations for bluetooth headphones for running?
Must have is ability to use just one for mono, since i am deaf in one ear.

My current ones are Jabba Elite 4.
Main problem with them is the charge uses 2 pins to charge and those pins get stuck down and so often won't connect and it goes flat

So there is a theory that complex traumagenic conditions like DID "release" trauma at the time in which you are ready to handle them, because other stressors are low and your capacity is there.
And til then you _mostly_ dissociate when triggered, rather than deeper response.

3 observation on this:

I forgot sqlite was made by a cultist,
I remembered that they were "Open-source, not open-development".
But i forgot they included a blessing in the place of the license for libsqlite, and that they had a code of ethics based on Rule of St. Benedict

you shouldn't hate trans people because we are trans.
that's bigoted.
you should hate trans people because we are, as a demographic, incredibly annoying.

sure us bullshit that while processing trauma need to do all the other things to continue living, like go to work, acquire and/or prepare food etc

if you have DID you gotta love yourself.
All of yourself.
It might be hard, but you just gotta.
Otherwise you're fucked.
You gotta work it out, cos you are stuck in this together, cos it is 1 girl.

transition stories in 12 words or fewer

You know what, it’s the one thing I haven’t tried yet
transition stories in 12 words or fewer
(A sad one. Might do a happy one later.)

I wanted this one thing for me.
I did everything else "right".

My wife is so awesome.
When we were getting re-married last year she invited her parents. Who very much do not approve. (But are polite about it).

Me: are they coming?
Her: yes. I think they feel obligated to.
Me: you could release them from that obligation.
Her: no. They *are* obligated to.

I had a great aunt we called Aunt Sherry whose real name was Rose. she had a brother everyone called Uncle Dutch, I have no idea what his birth name was. Their brother Aleck had two daughters, my Aunt Doody (real name Edra Lee) and Aunt Bird (again, no idea what her birth certificate says)
Baffled by transphobes insisting that the name on your birth certificate is Your True Name Forever when it was common in my grandparents' generation to just...pick a name you like and use that, nbd. I literally found out both of my grandma's birth certificate first names FROM THEIR OBITUARIES.
