During Fiona Hill's testimony to Congress on Oct 14, 2019, she described how Trump and Putin discussed exchanging Ukraine for Venezuela. The quid pro quo was if Trump refuses to help Ukraine fight off a Russian invasion, Putin would not help Venezuela (a Russian ally) resist a US takeover.

Canada needs to take see the invasion of Venezuela for what it is - a deliberate attack on the international rules based order. We have a bandit nation on our border and we need to be ready for whatever comes next.

And there's the issue, #lofc. By not using an alternative to X, you force too many people to rely on a hugely problematic provider. At least give fans a choice by cross-posting, so fans can make their own ethical decisions (even if the ethics of X don't seem to trouble you).
