It's why I wait in the car when I park in the disabled spots until everyone walking nearby has vanished. I cannot deal with the physical symptoms a confrontation can cause. You give it whirl next time though, just to see! 💪🏻😁 x

I *have* said something in the past when a stranger was being completely stupid/unreasonable/driving dangerously. It only raised my heart rate to dangerous levels and made my PEM awful. It wasn't worth it for me, so quiet dignity in future.

Yes, people don't seem to factor in commuting. The band thing today is also a 45 minute drive each way. 🤯

I hear the frustration. As much as I wanted to support my friend in a band competition today there was no way on earth I could go to a noisy pub for 4 hours plus travel. I feel terrible for saying no.
Once you're back to baseline can you try again either really early or late when it will be quiet? x

It's beyond bizarre that we keep having to explain invisible illnesses. It doesn't make sense that abled people keep gatekeeping empty spots (seats, vehicle spaces, queue places, etc) as if our access costs them money until we've proven our need.
