Descending into the fog. I love living in the valley because the fog gets trapped in between the hills for hours on fall and winter mornings, creating a mystical blanket of moisture.

Some of you have forgotten that only three years ago you were perfectly capable of writing a text, writing an email, telling a bedtime story to a child, and it should worry you that powerful companies have convinced us we can’t do things we’ve been doing since the dawn of time.

Betty’s family announced her passing and has requested privacy during this time. In lieu of flowers, they’ve asked that those wishing to honor her legacy consider donations to Betty Reid Soskin Middle School and to a forthcoming film documenting her remarkable life.

Yuuussssss!!
A win! Thanks to everyone who spoke out. Following public backlash, Mike Lee backtracked on the National Parks proposal, which would have rescinded legislation protecting national parks and maintaining their boundaries as federal lands.

Nothing regulates my nervous system like an after rain hike. Found some really cool mushies today and shot a roll of Cinestill 400D.
Are you a winter lover or summer person?

This year, AI produced a carbon footprint nearly equal to New York City and used as much water as the bottled water industry.

The amount of captions I see on major instagram pages that are obviously written by ChatGPT is increasing every day. It's boring. Use your brain.

My niece is 7 here, and just turned 14 last week. Can't believe it's been 7 years. This was not long after I acquired my favorite medium format, my Pentax 67 and 90mm f2.8. Still my most used camera and lens.

Many religions seek a glorious afterlife. They teach people to live with the purpose of attaining a position in some sort of ideal paradise. What is so wrong with being HERE?

Feeling extremely millennial today in the sense that I feel much, much older than I am and simultaneously like I have not even begun to get my shit together.

My app wasn't working on black Friday so I'll post it now. Remember to honor indigenous culture and values every Thanksgiving. It's not a holiday for them, it's a memorial. I want to share some incredible indienous-owned businesses you can get gifts from instead of Amazon. Cont'd

I'm deeply saddened by this. When green energy becomes greedy, it starts to defeat its purpose. This is the absolute opposite of protecting the environment, and it will be marketed as a positive step forward in environmental solutions for California. It's a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Another destructive solar project approved in n CA -- “There's nothing environmentally friendly about cutting down 4,000 oak trees, the most ecologically valuable native tree in all of North America. Over 2,000 other species depend on them." 🌎 www.capradio.org/articles/202...
SMUD’s controversial Coyote Creek solar project moves forward
The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the project at a packed Tuesday meeting, where over 150 people showed up to voice concerns or support.
