This is a disgrace and an embarrassment to the US. The American Battle Monuments Commission should be ashamed.

We cannot move forward or escape this nightmare until mainstream figures finally admit that there are many, many people on the right - including some of its most powerful voices - who are openly seeking violence and tyranny and exploit every situation to move it closer.

The president is sending the military to control American cities and if you're a reporter who's framing that illegal power grab as "pushing the boundaries of constitutionality" or "acting boldly to fight crime" or whatever, please go find another line of work where you won't get us all killed.

While I do appreciate that my municipal transit authority is reducing its carbon footprint by switching to electric vehicles; shouldn’t buses hug curves and avoid physical contact with trees?

Tonight I corrected someone who claimed that transgendered people were just confused gay people. Apparently that makes me a communist.

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.

I was reading an article this morning in the Washington Post. And one of the women in the article was referred to by her first name only; “out of concern for her safety.” She wasn’t being political or controversial, it was an article on grief. This is where we are.

I’ve seen a bunch of smug takes lately about “welll you shouldn’t have relied on social media, you fools.” But where is the alternative? We’ve disinvested from science education, from science journalism, and it’s good, actually, for independent people trying to make the world better to be supported.
