Dispelling Fantasies made the BSFA longlist!!! I'm honored. Academics don't publish books to make lots of money, so being recognized by my fellow SFF lovers and having people tell me the book has been useful to them is the thing that keeps me going in my research!

A fabulous review by @cypayseur.bsky.social of my story “A Nameless Thing” in @fiyahlitmag.bsky.social’s Gods & Monsters issue! 😄
P.C. Verrone's "A Nameless Thing" might be my favorite of the issue, following Ike, a writer in an alt-historical Hollywood doing scab work during a strike and having to face his own complicity and comfort with the system that exploits him and all those like him.

"The Husband," by P.C. Verrone @pcverrone.com, in Podcastle @podcastle.org. Been a big fan since reading PC's "A Review of Slime Tutorial: The Musical" in the fab antho Elemental Forces, & this story bit me hard & sucked me dry with its queer twisted horny hunger.

Another year, another reading rec roundup! While working on edits for my novel, play commissions, and putting out two stories and a poem this year, I still had time to read some spectacular things! pcverrone.com/2025/12/28/2...

Self-promotion doesn't always get easier in publishing. This nominations season--for the Nebulas, or any other award--PLEASE take pride in your work. Voters will ask about eligible works for their consideration, and we hope every SFF writer feels empowered to answer the call. Invest in your success!
Awards nominations are starting and I have things that are eligible but no pretty post (yet) cause I’m kind of overwhelmed and the imposter syndrome is impostering despite the fact that these pieces were literally already chosen for publication and wow aren’t brains the best!?
