Yea, it's multi level marketing for investors who think they can get rich on the physical infrastructure needed to run these hogs. It's an iterative chair dance. The hopes seemed to have been on small modular nuclear reactors but there's no industrial ecosystem to build it.

If i understand such issues for JP Morgan correctly, they have to deal with legal search, and are obliged to do a full search and it always needs to come up with the same results every time. So they may have some small internal models with their own body of knowledge but still need to double check.

They tried with Siri and were rightfully cautious. Fwiw there are many flavours of AI, airplanes land with some, cruise missiles use some, Waymo too, washing machines... But the word of language is something else, and understanding is even more complex.

That too. Many professions need full transparency if such information retrieval. Plus the LLMs are designed as people pleasers so they make things up.. About 10% or more are hallucinations

It's probably just internal search and some other tidbits. With a company that size in their line of work they could collapse under the bureaucratic workload

LLMs were originally meant for translating, and work a bit like a smart rolodex. But they are selling it like it is able to reason and actually comprehend concepts while all it does is manipulate character strings. The hype is just insane and there are far too many true believers and profiteers

Stabilized maybe because of the sheer size relative to other market movements. About 40% of growth (investments not productivity) are AI related. So anything else fades out compared to that.
But taking AI as is, all big players are pre-sorting for collapse. Especially as AGI using LLMs is nonsense.

There's an old riddle that's quite intuitive... "Money's a matter of functions four: A Medium, a Measure, a Standard, a Store." It makes monetary systems somewhat contradictory, but usually harmlessly unstable. But if both bonds yield (store), oil (medium), interest (standard) destabilize...

The bond yields and oil prices are red flags. The first provides a stable coin and the second is indicative of global interconnected trade... If the Fed is stupid enough to tweak the interest rate again, it can destabilize credit too.
If the crypto folly hits it could break the dollar system itself
