The ideal specimen of the fascist übermensch - a dopey, clueless idiot wearing a helmet that's too big for his head and a diarrhea sprayed brown uniform. He's walking through some bushes and is about to be fragged. A nazi soldier trying to take a shot at you while also completely scaring the bejesus out of the SS officer next to him who's kinda jumped from the noise but is trying to cover it by making it looks like he's doing a Fortnite dance. They're both standing in front of a dingy tank, just parked there in the middle of the town street. A puppy dog pup pup jumping at you with its paws reaching out for a hug! It's got red demon eyes but is really a sweetheart and just wants to cuddle. 💖 One of the decisive battles of World War II, the standoff between William Shakespeare with a gun and a velociraptor with a bazooka near Dubuisson, France, 1944, depicted beautifully with a multiplayer split-screen view.

Our hero slashing through a couple of large boar monsters with big tusks and stripy fur. A lovely town square with cozy shops and the entrance to a large tower in the distance. Our hero is petting a cute black and white cat that's just loafing on a barrel. About to get attacked by a couple of monstrous cobras with scaly armor. A bird's eye view of a large chamber with a glass floor and 8 red symbols placed in a circle, with some more golden plated clockwork pieces rotating below the see-through floor. This chamber serves as a teleport device to your next mission.

Rollcage (PS1) (1999)

Outworld (not the Mortal Kombat kind), a Mars mining colony with tall spires and mushroom-like sci-fi buildings built right next to a dirt track made for dangerous speeds and crashes, it's a lawsuit waiting to happen. The dark red and purple sunset of the Martian skies gives off a very oppressive atmosphere. One of the rollcage cars parked near a tall building broken and twisted into smaller terraces adorned with lots of exotic plants and vines and a stylish large white logo with the word "Eden" in the most early 2000s logo design style. The structure is built near steep rocky walls but with a beautiful view of the ocean and blue-orange dusk skies on the other side. One of the titular rollcage racing cars, very similar to the 90s Ricochet RC cars with its lifeguard safety buoy shaped body and huge monster truck wheels, capable of driving any way you flip it. It's doing its signature, gravity defying roll on the ceiling of a dark round tunnel, eliciting wonder and awe from the players, as well as a few cases of throwing up from the vertigo inducing action. A look at the cyberpunk Neoto City, shrouded in permanent night (because it's cyberpunk) with skyscrapers adorning the horizon and two large buildings very close to the race track, glowing in cyan and yellowish apartment lights, really selling the orange and teal early to mid 2010s Hollywood look. There's a building that kinda looks like a mountain resort hotel that's actually a gas station, and I know that because there's a few copy-pasted signs that say "GASU" with the corresponding katakana next to it (it also actually says gasu".

screenshot of a tumblr post from user “wildmansters” The thing that really boils my potatoes about Al in general is that I have been a creative professional for over a decade now and the devil has ALWAYS been in the details. Big and small, I've had single-person businesses rip me to shreds over how their colors turned out on newsprint, and have worked with huge companies with THICK brand guidelines with every detail of their brand identity laid out and enforced with an iron fist. But I guess all of that stuff doesn't matter anymore? Who gives a fuck if this Al generated baby has six fingers, that mom-and-pop shop is still going to use it. That rug from Temu says Happy Thanksgivirg? Oh well haha it's just a silly funny thing now (nevermind that you never would have given a B-grade item from a craft show the same consideration). I don't actually care that the Al Coca-cola ad has a truck that changes size every scene, but I can't help but think about how, if it had been some poor underpaid artist, they would have been laughed out of the building. I don't really know how to put it in a succint way but it just feels all the more obvious how much more grace and flexibility has always been possible but never offered.

Been trying out RetopoFlow in Blender for this character and its so much better than the default (bsurfacemesh) retopo tools. But it crashes a lot and each time I lose some work, a part of my soul dies 🙂
