Machine someone threw out that I’m upgrading for personal use, this thing has the weirdest specs I’ve ever seen - appears to have 4GB RAM soldered to the board plus another 4GB SO-DIMM, this is paired with an i5-10210U and an NVIDIA MX130 2GB GPU - 5400rpm HDD too for some reason

Thinking about how I lowered my standards for what a "playable" frame rate was for Cyberpunk 2077 (bought a PS4 slim from a friend for like $75 solely to play it because I wasn't in a position to buy a decent PC).

My org froze hiring and is threatening layoffs, and the government has laid off thousands of IT workers, so if I do lose my job I will be facing people who have 5x the experience for entry level roles. Thanks to a twice impeached and convicted felon I have no career mobility for the near future 🙃

Contact your US congressional representatives if you are unhappy with the state of things. I should have done so months ago. Last night I reached out to all my congressmen to tell them I am concerned of the possibility of the military being used against civilians and I encourage you to do the same.

Deleted my account after the platform was renamed and haven't looked back. One of the best decisions of my adult life to date.

I wonder if people outside america looking in know that the reason many aren't willing to protest is because even if it's peaceful you can pretty much get a disorderly conduct charge if the cops simply don't like you/your cause. Then you can lose your job & it's hard to ever get another good one.

Quick reminder that if you see a headline from a source you’ve never heard of that isn’t being reported by anyone else, you really should do some due diligence before spreading it around as fact. There’s enough misinformation floating around already; no need to add more.

Reminder: if you have a Smart TV, using the power button on the remote isn't really turning it on and off. More like taking it out of sleep mode. Use the menu > system settings > power > restart option to actually reboot it if you're having issues.

Oh yeah, forgot I posted this. Yep, it is about perfect.
Is SwissGear still a pretty good backpack brand? I have a couple MobileEdge brand backpacks that seem really well built that are made of like ballistic nylon and other such materials, but they don't allow me to pack my tech and EDC items the way I'd like to - the SwissGear 1900 looks PERFECT.

Whichever product designer thought "oh yes, blue LEDs would be good on the device that turns on at night"

I just wanna talk. Ignore the rubber mallet.
