Yes, if a male grifter like Chris Rufo or Ben Shapiro were named the head of CBS News, yes, the reaction would have been just as fierce.

No one is objecting because she's a woman. Jesus, get a grip.

You think for ONE SEC that a man in her position who was named head of CBS News would be the subject of so much to-do? Come on.

The whole "you should be proud of Bari Weiss because she's a WOMAN entrepreneur" argument reminds me of this comic:

Trump has little to insulate him now. Vought is not some temporary White House employee who’s dabbling in the art of sabotaging the government before he returns to his “job” as the world’s richest man.

Russ Vought Is Going to Damage Trump Even More Than Elon Musk Did
Americans, and even many Republicans in Congress, don’t like it when an unelected bureaucrat makes huge cuts to the government.

IMHO, LLMs will be an economic negative for years.

They'll do a worse job than humans,

but will still replace humans because they're cheaper for employers,

but really they're costlier, it's just that lots of costs get externalized to society by our horrible energy/tax policies.

Lose-lose-lose.

There's a decent chance that the Supremes will strike down Trump’s extra special brand new 100% China tariff, as unconstitutional. And so it's doubly notable how much markets panicked, given the (roughly) 50% chance it won’t happen. The market drop understates the damage Trump's trying to inflict.

These are agents who were sent AFTER the violent insurrection was well underway. Kash Patel issued a statement that said that after a fringe right wing outlet reported it falsely. But Trump chooses to run with the lie from them rather than the statement from his FBI Director.
