The point of saying Law Enforcement Baronial Class is that the situation is not that law enforcement need to be "reigned in"; it is that the country created, on purpose, a culture of police impunity and aristocracy, protected and paid for by our taxes that impacts every level of life.

the problem with this is that "more training" is usually just another way for politicians to say "we're gonna give this agency more money" which is the diametric opposite of neutering DHS as a federal agency
okay since it appears i have to spell this out even more: “training” — a thing that sounds good to sensible moderate voters, who exist and are uncomfortable with sudden change — can, if we make it, be a stalking horse for “moves that effective neuter the agency”
