As my time on the school board ends, I am so grateful for the chance to serve. I entered kindergarten in SCASD at Ferguson Township Elementary School in 1981 and graduated in 1994.

I share six maxims I learned from my time on the Board.

Globe review of companies with the most SNAP recipients in the state shows many are employed by high-profile companies in retail, health care, and the gig economy: Amazon, Walmart, Uber, DoorDash, and Tempus Unlimited, & others.

It’s a shame that a nation loaded with money crushes so many people.
The Boston Globe identified the companies in Massachusetts that employ the most SNAP recipients. A key stat: "In Massachusetts, 74% of working-age recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are employed, half of them full-time."

We need to be at the table with young people to tackle the challenges we face.

With the largest generation of youth on a planet in crisis, we must find ways to fairly treat them and equitably involve them in the decisions shaping their world.

I have never been more worried about American life and the world than I am today.

But somehow, I am not in despair. It’s not because I am plugging my ears, covering my eyes, or shouting over the din.

Why?

“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the Epstein Files."

“The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald
From now on, the Epstein files should be in the last sentence of every post, essay, report, poem, etc. No matter the topic.

Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The hidden Epstein files stretch far away.

After years of these “conservatives” screaming about the coming jack-booted liberal demons attacking America, they are welcoming Chinese state tactics, a f***ing occupation of a once-free nation to force everyone into submission to a truly Satanic goon.

I run Penn State’s Local Climate Action Program.

Each of the 32 communities we’ve worked with in the last three years know that climate change is intensifying storms & floods. Residents in these communities have suffered, including deaths from microbursts.

Today, the U.S. Senate caved. They passed the One Big Bullshit Bill, carrying out one of the most destructive attacks on the American people in history. It will send us deeper into a debt spiral, make us a global pariah where energy is concerned, throw millions of people into poverty, medical debt, and despair, and exacerbate racial and religious animosity.
