The mainline Pokemon games should all have different difficulty settings so you can make the game strategically harder in some way without just adding grind. Namely, make wild Pokemon levels higher, make it cheaper and more affordable to heal, and reward the players with more EXP for those wins.

I did not appreciate BRMC's Wrong Creatures in 2018 but I do now. It might be their best album. It's incredible.
