-Snålltaget should add some sleeping-car to its Berlin - Stockholm sleeper and modernise its couchettes

- SJ should redirect its sleeper to Köln Hbf or Aachen Hbf, and add through cars to/from Oslo C.
(And increase train consist to 14-carriages).

There’s news in Sweden that SJ doesn’t want to run Stockholm-Berlin night train beyond summer 2026

There’s something to this - it’s being considered. But HOW it plays out (given Snälltåget also runs this route) AND there’s meant to be a new Basel-Malmö in 2026 is anyone’s guess

Frankfurt21, München21, S-Bahn Tunnel in Cologne, and NBS Hanau - Mötgers and Frankfurt - Mannheim were on the agenda 25 years ago.

But for those budget cuts, all these projects would be in operation right now.

The current order, placed in 2023, is about 30 sets for 🇮🇹🇦🇹🇨🇭🇫🇷🇩🇪🇧🇪🇳🇱🇪🇦.
No express reference to 🇬🇧.

30 is not much for such a wide geographic area.

Perhaps the outstanding 10 optional sets will be specified to Channel Tunnel, if ever ordered.
