P.G. Sundling at the finish line with the medals they passed out for finishing. Everyone wear white event T-shirts. I ranked 3798 out of 5984, but my family also made a conscious decision to stay together over going for it. It's been years of recovery since Cipro temporarily disabled me for a bit in 2020/2021, but I would still likely injure myself running great lengths. Walking let's me finish the race. Finishing is what matters in races, books, and in life. LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) health and wellness festival was a benefit for LA fire victims from last year.

I use an improvised desk made of metal cabinets and a wood plank. I write from a second folding table for proper ergonomics, and expand with a third folding table during tax time, or for laundry.

Utilitarian, yet adaptable.

Today I write from a lonely place, with dark walls and a door closed tight. I sit on a chair that barely holds my weight at a card table barely standing, writing about sad things. I am not sad, but my work is. The room will shift again soon enough. Just wait.
